Project “DIREKT” is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021–2026 and is financed by European Union funds through the NextGenerationEU instrument.
As part of the DIREKT project activities, project team members Professor Lajoš Žager, Associate Professor Mateja Brozović and Petra Halar, PhD took part in the International Academic Conference on Business, Economics, Management, and Finance (WEI-BEMF-London 2026), held from 7 to 9 July 2026 at London South Bank University in London and organised by the West East Institute.
At the conference, they presented the topic entitled “Ethical Challenges of Internal Auditors in the Digital Environment: A Bibliometric Analysis,” which uses bibliometric analysis to examine the ethical challenges facing internal auditing in the digital environment and the transformation of its role under the influence of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
In addition to presenting, Associate Professor Mateja Brozović and Petra Halar, PhD, also served as session chairs, contributing to the organisation and moderation of the conference discussion.
Participation in the conference provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with the international academic community and to present the results of the DIREKT project to a wider professional audience.
